My family doesn't have many traditions because every holiday looks so different. Someone has moved, someone isn't going to Dad's house, someone isn't going to Mom's, someone has to work, etc. However, when we were younger we had a lot of traditions. One of them, this one being closest to something we still do, is Christmas pajamas. On Christmas Eve, we go to church and then come home, open a present (shocker: every year it's pajamas) and we wear our jammies and eat our big Christmas feast. In the past few years, my brothers haven't been able to go to my mom's for Christmas Eve but we will still do this in the beginning of November if we have to. We will always make time for dinner in jammies.
The past three years, my mom and I have been working at Salvation Army on Christmas Day with our church. Although this is a newer tradition, it's become one of my favorites.
