Assignment 10: Clifton Grady

Like something from a horror movie they rose from the ground unannounced, and all hell broke loose. To survive, preparation and caution are key. People have, for the most part, fled from the city. Societal rules, laws, and convention don’t apply anymore, we now live in a world tattered with chaos- it feels apocalyptic. Finding any opportunity to safely make my way to a store that has food and guns is my initial plan. Upon returning with enough food and water to last at least a few weeks, Closing and boarding up all windows on the first floor of my house will be my next safety precaution. On the second floor, I will make sure that all windows that could emit light are also closed so as not to attract the zombies. With any luck, the situation will sort itself out on its own, and military forces may clear out the threat, but the guns will serve as a last resort should we need to defend ourselves. The only difficult thing would likely be retrieving supplies, but it would be manageable. If the threat persisted, establishing a community with some kind of gate or other means of external protection from the zombies would be ideal, and perhaps we would be able to carry on with life as if they weren’t there at all.
