Assignment 11 – Dilni Abeyrathne

I sit beside Anna Baskin, a tall girl with an amazing personality. I met her last year, though not thoroughly. We had few classes together and even then, we sat apart from each other. However, this year we have many more classes together, among other activities. Strange how circumstances change, is it not? That’s not to say I don’t enjoy sitting by Anna.

In fact, I very much do enjoy it.

Getting to know Anna has been a great experience – she is very interesting and friendly. Though I often don’t talk much, I find that Anna can always coax a smile or laugh from me from the conversations we have. I feel much lighter and happier when I talk to her, which is perhaps due to her easy-going personality and amicable demeanor.

As a color, I would characterize her as a flowing blue – easy-going, calm, and amiable. Whether studying vocabulary or conversing about orchestra, she is always calm, cool, and collected – traits I have much respect for. In addition, Anna has a way of making our conversations highly interesting. I’m sure I could pass hours conversing with her.

For my neighbor, I’m extremely grateful to be able to learn more about her. She is an amazing person – both inside and out.
