I haven't really done a lot of thinking about being in a Zombie Apocalypse, which probably dooms me to a horrible death. However, if that were to occur, I have thought a little about what I may end up doing.
First things first is to stay away from urban areas. Everyone always remarks on how they will make a run for supplies like guns, ammunition, food etc. This is by far the worst possible thing to do. Firstly, the concentration of zombies in large urban areas is thousands of times greater than in the suburbs or even the open country, which is more sparsely populated. I have enough things in my house alone to fashion weapons along the lines of Lucille (because in all honesty guns are loud, unwieldy, and tend to draw unwanted attention) and non perishables, as well as plenty of bottles of water.
Secondly, I'd start walking, no cars because the highways and roadways will either be shut down or clogged with traffic, so no Bueno. I live close to the Jessamine County line and i would begin making my way into the countryside, setting up residence at an abandoned summer cabin or something similar.
Its not that I'm anti-social, but looking after myself is the easiest thing, as well as keeping a stable amount of supplies. I guess I might go crazy with no one but myself to be around, but we will cross that bridge when we come to it.
One other thing I might grab is my fathers hatchet, because after reading a book by the same name, I realized that thing is a lot more useful than it might appear.
