I have the pleasure of sitting next to
Alex Meadors, Stone Poole, and Matthew Street. I do not physically sit next to Matthew;
however, it seems as though I do with how much he and Stone talk to me.
I have known
Alex since I went to Southern Elementary School with him; we were in the same
second grade class. Though my relationship with his sisters is stronger I have
learned a lot about Alex. He is an avid reader and constantly is reading on his
kindle. Even in second grade he would read books like Harry Potter. Alex is
generally quiet and reserved, but open when he has something to share. I have
enjoyed sitting by him throughout the year.
Stone has also
sat by me this year as well. At first I was a little scared because I had not
ever talked to him before and we have different groups of friends, but I have
come to find that it has been very fun. Stone is very funny and loves to make
jokes. He also loves to touch Matthew, which I don’t completely understand, but
seeing their relationship makes me not question it. Their relationship goes far
beyond English or APUSH or the swim team they both participate in. They complement
each other very well and as far as I know have never fought. Both of them are
on the swim team, love to talk in Spanish (Stone forgot I was in Spanish too
when they were talking about me and thought I couldn’t understand), and love to
play games on their phone. They are both are smart and encouraging, for example
wishing me luck on vocab quizzes or giving me high-fives, even if it’s sarcastic
sometimes.
I never would’ve picked my seat, nor
would I have thought that I would enjoy my seat so much, but I have grown
closer to Stone, Matthew, and Alex. I hope that I will be able to keep a seat
next to them or at least close throughout the year.
