The best advice I every received is that God already has a plan for us all. We can follow it or we can walk down a darker path away from him, but his path is the best one for us. The original quote is a bible verse Jeremiah 29:11, "I know the plans I have for you' declares the Lord,' plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future." I love this because I know that God has already created a plan for me and I just have to follow it and it's better than any plan I have for myself.
Another piece of advice I hold high and think of often is, " It is hard to soar like an eagle when you are surrounded by turkeys." It means in order to be your best you have to surround yourself with others like what you want to be. You can be the best you and hang out with others who will hold you down. And although we like to goof off and have a little too much fun. I think the group of friends I have with me is just the ones I need for right now.
