Assignment 19- Richie Lane

In my life, I have received a great deal of great advice. Never ask a woman when the baby is due, because she may not be pregnant. Never lick a steak knife. A person who is nice to you but not to the waiter is not a nice person. Try new things. Treat others like you want to be treated. But I think a piece of advice that I find to be most helpful is if you don't absolutely love something, then don't do it. More often than not, I find myself in situations where I am presented with a task I simply don't want to do. In these trying times, I come back to this golden advice; and I do not perform this task. Whether it be homework, studying, lacrosse practice, or anything else, if it isn't something I truly do not want to do, I don't do it. This has made my life much easier, and there are clearly no consequences to these actions. By only doing things I want to do, I find myself having much more free time than the average person, because the average person is tasked with things they do not want to do. I, on the other hand, when presented with something I have no interest in doing, simply relax and watch TV-which happens to be something I enjoy doing.
