I've been the recipient of many pieces of advice throughout my life. It's just natural for a teenager to be given pieces of guidance by their family and mentors. Some of it has had an immense impact on my life - others, minuscule, or I brushed it off immediately as either incorrect or just wrong. Most of it hasn't been so impactful. But it can't be denied that all of this guidance has shaped and molded me into who I am today, in one way or another. It's important to give this kind of advice to somebody so they can figure out who they are and what to do in life.
But one piece of advice I haven't forgotten is: when a friend of the family told me the best place to go near school if I ever felt like skipping. I haven't used this advice yet, but I'll definitely never forget it.
