Over the break, I saw The Greatest Showman and Pitch Perfect
3. They are both musical and include an impressive soundtrack. Pitch Perfect
includes mostly covers of songs, such as, Toxic; Sit Still, Look Pretty; and Cheap
Thrills. However, The Greatest Showman has original songs including Come Alive,
This is Me, and The Greatest Show. These all sound modern and much like popular
songs you would hear on the radio.
Although they both have modern and popular music they have
very different storylines and audiences. The Greatest Showman is geared towards
families: young to old. It tells of extravagant shows and love and family.
Whereas Pitch Perfect 3 is geared towards teens and adults. It is a comedy
about a singing group going on tour around the world in a competition with
other bands. Pitch Perfect will keep you laughing the whole movie; The Greatest
Showman will keep you smiling or crying the whole time.
I highly suggest both movies. They are worth the money and
the time, especially if you enjoy good music.
