Assignment 19: Joseph Craven

Throughout my life, I have received so many pieces of advice. Some have been solid and constructive, most have been vapid or standard. Yet, one piece of advice that has stuck with me is my dad telling me to go towards a career path that I am interested in instead of one that I feel pressured into doing. According to my dad, my grandparents heavily encouraged him into a career path of a microbiology, which he has a career in to this day. However, he was heavily encouraging a path in engineering, and he insists that not pursuing engineering is one of his greatest regrets. I remember this advice specifically, as I am not doing microbiology in the future despite both of my parent's having careers based around it. I'm not sure exactly what I want to study yet, but I'll be sure to pursue something that I enjoy doing.
