If you ever go boating you have to try out this boating
playlist!
I chose these songs because my family goes to the lake every
summer and these are all on our playlist. This playlist has tons of variety, so
everyone will find a song they can jam to.
Dive--
Steven Curtis Chapman
Well of
course the first thing you’ve gotta do is get in the water and what better way
is there to do that then dive right in. This Christian song is perfect for jumping
in or listening to off the back of the boat while anchored for lunch.
Down
for the Count—Bowling with Soup
This is a
great song with great vocals that you can still hear when you’re going fast.
It’s an awesome story line about an ex-girlfriend in a creative way. Also, I
really suggest checking out other songs by Bowling for Soup.
Lo
Hare Por Ti—Paulina Rubio
Whether or
not you know Spanish this song is a must for a boating trip. You can catch on
to some of the chorus, so you can still sing along. It has a positive vibe but
mixes up the playlist some.
Run-Around--
Blue Travelers
This is an
amazing tune with an even more amazing harmonica solo. It keeps with the
positive feel of all the songs.
Redneck
Yacht Club—Craig Morgan
This banjo
filled country song is perfect for boating. There’s a cove at Lake Cumberland
that my family calls Party Cove and as this song says, “lets meet up at party
cove.” This song describes the perfect boating day. All true boaters know
exactly what this song is saying.
Luis
Fonsi, Daddy Yankee Ft. Justin Bieber-- Despacito
This is
obviously a recent addition. It goes along with “Lo Hare Por Ti” in its Spanish
lyrics. This is a good song if you have friends on the boat because it gives
them a song they know, and everyone can sing along to it.
It’s Five O’clock Somewhere-- Alan Jackson, Jimmy Buffet
It’s a goodie, but
an oldie. Almost everyone knows this tune and can sing along. Although I
generally don’t care for this song it’s perfect for a ride back to the house on
the boat after a fun day of fun.
