Title: Blooming
Summary: This is a playlist I listen to that captures the perfect disharmony my body and mind feels during the spring. I am often slothful and lazy on the inevitable rainy and dreary days but my mind and body can't stop roaming on the days that remind me that there is summer at the end of the tunnel.
Sober- P!nk
This song has captures the melancholy that is this season for me. For many winter is there time of deep reflection but for me that is spring. With the reawakening of things around me I feel a need to reflect on myself, much like P!nk is in this song, reflecting on her relationships and herself.
Idle Town- Conan Gray
This song to me symbolizes the quickly changing setting of our lives, how some part of us will always long for the current and the past while another part of us strives for the future. Gray captures this change, and for me shows the change that most teens feel as one of the last springs of their childhood slips by.
Check Yes, Juliet- We the Kings
This song to me has always been springy, shows the love in the air, the new opportunities we encounter in this season of regrowth. I think this song really symbolizes the struggle I and many others feel during the spring, we need to grow but the question is "are we making the right choice" and to me, this song (all its rock aside) really speaks to this idea for me personally.
Leaves That Are Green- Simon & Garfunkel
I think this song once again speaks to me about the changing of times, how nothing to you really struggle to hold on to really hold up at all, they all fall away eventually, and for me that's what spring is a perfect dissonance of time to come and time that has passed.
America- Simon & Garfunkel
This song to me really reminds me of the real want I feel during the spring to become close to people and become close to your environment. To not only meet the people around you but also yourself and the journey that we find ourselves taking in the spring.
