Assignment 1- Anne Douglas

Hello!! My name is Anne Douglas Chambers, and yes, I go by both Anne and Douglas (strange, I know). As you know I am a junior at Henry Clay High School and am in the academy with you. Here are some things you might not know about me: I have an older sister Grae, who recently flew the nest and started her freshman year at Vanderbilt University. She is my best friend in the world. My favorite thing to do in my free time is watching television; My favorite tv show of all time is parks and recreation, but my favorite show at the moment is probably Silicon Valley. Some more productive hobbies I enjoy are baking, running, sleeping, and listening to podcasts. I love Dance Blue with all of my heart, and hope that every one of you can experience the type of joy I get from raising money for that amazing cause. My birthday is January 19th, therefore I am a Capricorn. My favorite season is fall, primarily for the weather, holidays, and pumpkin-scented candles. My favorite color is light pink, and my least favorite color is green. My sister has cystic fibrosis, and this summer I went to Washington D.C to meet with Kentucky congressmen to tell my story and discuss the political needs of the cystic fibrosis community. There is so much more I could say about my life and the things I like, but as for now I think these basic facts will do. I'm looking forward to making many more of these posts in the future and getting to know all of you better!
