My name is Sarah Palmer. I'm involved in marching band, archery, dance, DanceBlue, and Calvary Baptist youth group. In my free time I like to ski, wakeboard, and powerlift. This year in marching band I am drum major (I conduct), which takes up the majority of my time. Obviously, I love staying busy and being around people. I honestly don't think I could survive on my own from lack of human contact.
I have many goals, both academic and extracurricular. I want straight A's, not to procrastinate on assignments (a bad habit of mine), and to do well on all the standardized tests. I also want to be able to get air on the wakeboard and to be able to turn faster on the ski.
My favorite part of my summer was going to Norris Lake with my family as well as four other families. I loved being able to spend 10 hours a day on the water and learning new tricks. We had five boats there between all the families so we got to try a ton of new equipment and get tips from other people on the trip. I have finally learned how to "cut" on the ski, which means to go out of the wake and them turn sharply back.
My favorite website is www.explorer.org. I watch the live video of bears in Alaska trying to eat salmon jumping up stream.
(We got 4 people up on wakeboards behind one boat at Norris).
