My name is Gloria Dietz. I am a very logical, knowledgeable, outspoken person who actually cares about school and likes learning. I'm usually an outstanding student, but there's one subject I'm not good in: English Language Arts. I have always been better in STEM (science, technology, engineering and math) fields and want to major in engineering or neuroscience in college. I am in history club, STEM club, math club, math tutoring, future medical professionals, and considering joining young democrats. I really enjoy anything to do with art and discussing or debating almost any topic. This school year, my goal is to get a 4 or 5 in all my AP classes, at least go up 2 points on my ACT composite score, and not go crazy with all the work I need to do (aka stop procrastinating). My favorite part of summer vacation was going to the Duke TiP Program at Duke University. I really enjoyed taking the neuroscience class there, as well as, being around like-minded people. If I could have any superpower I would have telekinesis, because if you can move things with your mind 1) no one would ever know it was you controlling these things, 2) you could use it in place of other superpowers (for example you could move yourself with your mind to make yourself fly), and 3) you can do things without have to exert physical energy doing them (for example washing the dishes). What geeks me out is pretty much anything STEM and referencing good shows: most of the Star Trek series, the Office (US), Parks & Rec, Sherlock, Doctor Who, etc.
