Assignment 1 - Erin

Hi there! I'm Erin Inouye (pronounced "in-oh-way"). My last name is of Japanese origin, for anyone wondering. My dad was born and raised in Hawaii, so I've spent quite a lot of time over there in my life. In the same vain, my mom is from Danville, Kentucky, so I've also spent ample time around there too.
I'm passionate about entertainment and the creative arts; film, photography, music, and the like. I'm actually hoping to have a career in the entertainment industry, as a director or producer or writer or some combination of everything.
This year my academic goals include passing my five AP classes, staying organized and on top of things in school, and applying to the Governor's School for the Arts summer program. No more procrastination for me!
I also have a few personal goals for the school year, including looking after my mental health and producing two short films to enter into contests.
I'd have to say that this whole past summer was pretty meaningful for me. I got to watch my long-term boyfriend walk across the floor at Rupp and take his Henry Clay diploma. I visited my family in Hawaii, and took some time to reflect on life. And got my creative juices back after almost of year of being in a slump. The summer was a season of closure that really made the start of this school year feel like a new beginning.
I've divided the "things that geek me out" into sections because I tend to geek out over a lot of things.
