Assignment 1 - Anna Baskin

My name's Anna Baskin. Some things you should know about me are: I ride horses; I play violin; and I spend way too much time on YouTube. I don't even watch quality videos. I'm the cliché YouTuber who binges dog videos, and I'm not ashamed.

My goal for this school year is better time management. I want good grades, but sometimes the dogs videos get distracting, and I end up putting off my homework till late at night (or till the next day). This stresses me out more, so I watch YouTube to calm myself down. Procrastination is a vicious cycle.

This summer was a great break from the self-induced stress of school. My favorite part was spending time with my siblings (they can never know). My brother Kirk is a people-pleaser, so he's easy for a bossy older sister to get along with. My older brother, Nik, has a great sense of humor and is very laid back.  One of my favorite pictures is of the three of us in Canada, a couple years back. I should add that Kirk is standing on a bench and is not taller than me.

As for what geeks me out, the answer is almost everything. I'm geek enough admit I have thoroughly contemplated what superpower I would have, and it would be flying. It sounds like the most basic, but think about it. Not only is flying awesome, but you would never be required to put yourself in danger. If there's a supervillain attacking Lexington, you wouldn’t have to help, because what are you going to do? Hover around them? Flying has all the perks of superpowers, without having to risk your life.

My favorite website is probably goodreads, because I'm a huge reader. I'm not big on the classics, I'll admit, but I love science fiction and fantasy books. Goodreads helps me keep track of what books I've read, and is great at recommending new books.
