My ideal college, at the moment, is the University of Cincinnati. As a student, I want to pursue chemical engineering. Cincinnati’s program requires a co-op rotation. This provides hands-on experience in my field of choice and a source of income for a college student with student loans. Cincinnati’s co-op program leads to lots of job opportunities for students even before they officially graduate.
The University of Cincinnati is a relatively large school – it comes with lots of benefits. Research opportunities, more funding, and social opportunities. Cincinnati offers a wide variety of activities to fill my time so I’ll never be bored.
While I intend to study chemical engineering, Choir and music are incredibly important to me. The University of Cincinnati’s music conservatory would allow me to remain involved in the arts while pursuing my actual career.
As much as the intellectual experience matters, I must also consider the financial aspect of college. Some colleges charge an incredibly expensive tuition nowadays. However, out of all the schools I’ve looked at so far, the University of Cincinnati is on the lower-priced end. Fortunately, it grants Kentucky residents in-state tuition.
Not only does the University of Cincinnati have a great chemical engineering program, access to research facilities, and great social opportunities, it is also reasonably affordable and has a great music program. A perfect fit for me.
