I am definitely not the poster child for an avid reader. I used to read at least 2 books a week when I was younger and my whole life was centered around what book I could check out of the library and read next but within the past couple years I have found it hard to have the interest in picking up a new book and reading it all the way through, so I got one book. I read and reread one book and it has become my all time favorite book. Water for Elephants by Sara Gruen. I have honestly lost track of how many times I have read this book, it's always in my hands and I can pick up anywhere in the book and be able to continue on.
The reason I choose one book and reread it over and over is because in the midst of my hectic life, there are some days where I like to pick up a book and read for a couple hours straight but I found myself picking up a new book, reading half of it, and then completely forgetting about it until I have one of those days again. But when I have one book that I have read several times, I can pick up where I left off two weeks ago and still understand the plot. The part that fascinates me is every time I read the book, I find something in it I hadn't realized before.
