Assignment 2- Richie Lane
I'm gonna be honest, I haven't read too many books in the past year. I'm not huge on reading novels, but one of my favorite books is "The Outsiders" by S.E. Hinton. I initially read it in the 7th grade, but I have re-read it multiple times since then. I remember back in 7th grade, when our teacher assigned it to us, I was hooked from the very beginning. We were supposed to read it together as a class over the span of a month or two, but I read the whole thing when I got home that night. Granted, it's not what most would call a lengthy book, but that's not really the point. It was the first time I can remember reading a book I genuinely just couldn't put down. That was also one of the first times I remember reading a book, then watching the movie, and thinking, "This doesn't do the book justice at all." I mention this book because although I first read it 5 years ago, I have re-read it in the past year, and still very much enjoyed it.
