Assignment 6- Neil McGinley

Okay, not sure if I’m doing this one right. But I mentioned earlier I was a predeterminist. I rarely get to explain why. Ready for some philosophy. Let me state now if you don’t agree with these first couple premises it would be a waste of your time to continue. Premise 1; the universe is infinitely large and timeless. Premise 2; there are an infinite amount of parallel universes. Premise 3; though otherwise infinite no two parallel universes are exactly the same. I understand that this is a lot to ask but these are all relatively well trodden issues with people on both sides of you happen to be on my side we will continue. If there are infinite parallel universes as long as no two are exactly the same then we could easily consider an infinite number of universes that are all different in the same minute way. Let’s for the sake of simplicity select 3 of these infinite universes that all differ in the same way. Let’s for the sake of simplicity make this minute difference the color of a shirt. Let’s for the sake of simplicity say of all the infinite theoretical colors and patterns these shirts can be red, blue, and green. If all three of the identical individuals had free will what prevents two from picking red? In this case two parallel universes have been made exactly the same. It stands to reason that this would make our decisions not our own. I realize this isn’t exactly the idea place to talk philosophy because I maintain an inherent philibuster but... on the 19th I will be talking about predeterminism in philosophy club. The ball is in your court.

Thank you, that is all.
