I cant really say that I am a traveler, I haven't gone anywhere super exciting, in fact I haven't even ventured past the Mississippi river. However this past summer I had a epiphany in a state you wouldn't even expect.
I traveled to Troy, Alabama with a delegation of the Kentucky JCL (Junior Classical League) thinking that this was going to be a trip that wouldn't amount to anything life changing. We were going to the National Convention, and when they said national they meant it. I met so many different people from all over the country, all around my age who were all there for the same reason. I was able to make connections that I still have today, with friends spread over the continental United States. Their unique cultural and regional backgrounds exposed me to what maybe life was like in another state for a kid my age. It really helped me grow as a person, and I cant wait for it to roll around next year.
