Assignment 7 - Lauren Chatfield
I love that college is four years of something completely different than any other part of your life. K-12 are grouped together and those are the years of schooling that you spend in smaller classroom, with fewer teachers, with simpler classes, less specific classes, and the years you spend under your parents roof. College is a strange bridge in between this and being independent. You live without parents for 3/4 of the year, you have roommates, you manage your own time, and so many other new lessons. You are so vulnerable and yet so capable of learning so much in this time. This is what excites me about college. I would love to go to Northwestern. It is super close to where I grew up in Il and my cousin went there and loved it. I like the location, the rigorous courses, the size, and the color of course. Your college education plays a huge role on the rest of you life. Your career depends on whether you did or didn't go to college, where you went, and what you studied.
