The thing that most interests me is music. I've been engaged in music since a very young age, and I've ensured that it's been a prevalent part of my life ever since. I will do anything music related- listening to it, playing it, learning about composers, working on music theory, etc. I never want to stop learning about everything music related; if I could learn how to play every single instrument created, I would (unfortunately this would probably cost immense amounts of money and time).
I believe that music is very important. I've written multiple research papers about music and how it affects the brain, and all the research points to how enhancing it is. Even just listening to music stimulates the brain, but playing it can actually make you smarter, because it stimulates almost every part of the brain. It also uses both the creative and technical sides of your brain, strengthening the paths between the hemispheres and allowing for increased creative thinking.
One topic I can argue/rant about for days is that music should be more present in schools. Students should be more encouraged to pick up an instrument or learn music theory or even just listen to music more (including expanding to more genres, like classical music). Music class shouldn't stop after elementary school.
