Assignment 7: Luke Webster

I want to become a lawyer, plain and simple. Its something that has always interested me. I plan to major in Political Science, which is basically a major everywhere. That doesn't really narrow my choices in and of itself. Thus I don't have any particular school that really jumps out at me yet, although I haven't done any official visits.

Regardless, the experience of college is somewhat daunting, yet also yields a feeling of excitement. Its something new and unknown really, you're away from home all the time or at least 80% of it, and you are suddenly thrust into the real world. You have to figure out how to do all of these things that you previously took for granted. That is somewhat terrifying to me, yet it also excites me. The mere thought of being a free person for the first time sounds so enchanting that it overrules any real fear that I have about college.

The sad thing is that no one really cares in the real world where you went to undergrad, making the college experience more about attaining a goal than discovering who you are as a person and creating an identity for yourself.
