Assignment 9- Stone Poole

The only good things to come out of war are this country and a few video games. The United states has been in plenty of countless wars that have resulted in little more than unneeded deaths of American Soldiers. The right time for war is to protect your country and citizens. It isn't to invade, destroy, aid or protect another place. The U.S is notorious for joining the wrong wars and not gaining anything from the result of them. The U.S involvement in the middle east should have ended right after Ben Ladin was killed. Then thousands of U.S soldiers would still be alive, The Vietnam war shouldn't have even involved the United States but we tried fight communism. The War of 1812 was pointless as well, we didn't gain much at all but lost plenty of ships and men. Looking to the future I don't believe that the U.S soldiers should have to go to war against North Korea. If anything I think it should be a small fight not a full war between soldiers who had nothing to do with the conflict. There are certainly right times to fight. The World Wars were necessary to end years of fighting and to not allow Germany to take over, which they most likely would have if the U.S had not intervened.
There is a right time for everything, with war the right time is very rare and countries go to war way too often. It is so sad to see that peace and negotiations can rarely be mad so soldiers have to risk their lives.
