I'm as quiet as a mouse; and happen to be a grandmother by nature. My parents call me Gertrude and I can't help but agree with the nickname. I am currently making my way through all of the books that have the Pulitzer prize for fiction and love to talk all things literature. Yet here is the thing about mice (and book nerds) we like to stay in groups and we have big ears (we are good listeners). I love to talk about people's problems and try to solve them much like trying to figure out a twisting plot.
I could talk for days about the twisting myths that connect Neil Gaiman's work, how Stephen King crafts a character, how Joyce Caroll Oates creates so many different stories that still carry her voice and how a raven is like a writing desk. I am without a doubt an introvert yet I could talk your ear off once you get me going about literature or really anything that you could imagine a grandmother doing. (Cross stitching, the New York Times daily crossword, and thrift shopping for example.)
