Assignment 10- Lauren Chatfield

While I am not sure if this is what I am absolutely MOST afraid of, I am extremely scared of artificial intelligence. The geniuses in our nation have cautioned that we are on the verge of creating AI that will out smart us and that is absolutely terrifying to me. We are dumb enough that we don't know when to stop. I can't remember the particular name of the robot but I did see a video of a robot making fun of a person. This was highly disturbing to me -- we created something smart enough to know how dumb we are!!!! Although so many people are saying this could end us, google and those other tech-y companies aren't stopping. They won't be satisfied until it's too late. While these old dudes in lab coats may not live to see the harm of this - it could be in my life time! At the pace we're moving at, this isn't far away at all! We are actually going to die due to a creation by human kind! This is the type of thing that literally keeps me up at night. I am afraid for my family and my friends and my kids that I may never be able to have due to the upcoming revolution (now, that my be an exaggeration) but I do plead the future of our species to PLEASE STOP!
