Here's the thing about zombies, they wouldn't be that weird. Mindless, brainless eating machines? I have a 13 year-old sister and that sums her up perfectly.
My plan would be to get together with my friend Delaney and camp out at my grandparents until the beginning of spring, it is a rather large house strategically on a hill. Once spring begins we are going north to her aunts farm in Michigan. Its the perfect place to grow food and live a good life.
One of my favorite questions to ask people is a question about the zombie apocalypse. Lets say there is a baby in the middle of the road and you are all alone. Do you take the baby or leave it? Based on someone's answer to this question will determine if we allow them into our zombie survival group. (Sam Underwood, Luke deCastro, and Isabella Matthews can't come for sure. Baby lovers.)

Assignment 11- Erica Currier
I am the last C in the entire junior class, so I always sit next to a "C" and a "D", this year its Gabe Dejesus and Taetum Crawford. I've known Gabe since 4th grade where he would steal my pencils (I sat next to him in 4th and 5th grade and always stole my pencils but at least he would make me laugh) and I met Taetum in freshman year of high school.
They both actually play the All- American sport and are pretty good at it, so good job y'all, do the thing. I actually see them both as shades of red. Gabe to me seems to be a more rusty red due to the way he slows his speech and to me rusty red seems like a color that would do that. Taetum to me is like a rosy red, mainly because when I see her name I think of this color and I have for a while.
I see Gabe in 5 years (he would 23) still playing baseball and living the dream that way. He seems like a lawyer to me. He happens to be rather outspoken and that seems like something he would pursue. If Taetum isn't doing political activism when she is 23 I would be surprised, probably still playing softball though.
Overall they are pretty good people and I wish them the best of luck in the future.

Assignment 12- Erica Currier
I'm as quiet as a mouse; and happen to be a grandmother by nature. My parents call me Gertrude and I can't help but agree with the nickname. I am currently making my way through all of the books that have the Pulitzer prize for fiction and love to talk all things literature. Yet here is the thing about mice (and book nerds) we like to stay in groups and we have big ears (we are good listeners). I love to talk about people's problems and try to solve them much like trying to figure out a twisting plot.
I could talk for days about the twisting myths that connect Neil Gaiman's work, how Stephen King crafts a character, how Joyce Caroll Oates creates so many different stories that still carry her voice and how a raven is like a writing desk. I am without a doubt an introvert yet I could talk your ear off once you get me going about literature or really anything that you could imagine a grandmother doing. (Cross stitching, the New York Times daily crossword, and thrift shopping for example.)

Assignment 14- Erica Currier
I loved Thanksgiving as a child. Playing in my room upstairs at my grandmothers house with the smell of the dinner to come teasing and whispering to me all day while I watched Jimmy Newtron and waiting for my cousins to arrive. But the Thanksgivings of late have been not as much fun to say the least. Now that I'm a teenager and I work in a kitchen every weekend as a job makes me the perfect candidate to take over most of the cooking at Grandma's house. Not only do I have to cook and be an extrovert (which I am not, not even close), answer questions about my future (scary) I have to do the dishes. I HATE THE DISHES. Let me say again I HATE THE DISHES.
Also I maybe one of the few people who hate turkey, but I hate turkey. It is like bad chicken.
So no I honestly don't much care for Thanksgiving, I have to cook and clean while I would rather hide away in my room and watch Jimmy Newtron. (Also it makes work really slow because no one goes out to eat the week of Thanksgiving, they are all traveling to family)

Assignment 13- Anne Douglas
Headline: Trump Proposes Genius Plan to Put An End to The Sexual Assault Allegations
In the past month, hundreds of women have come forward with sexual assault allegations against many powerful men, some of the most prominent being Senator Roy Moore, Matt Lauer, and Harvey Weinstein. These allegations have caused a devastating blow to these men. The decades of work put into building their career would be a waste of time after such an allegation. Their reputations sullied beyond repair. And for what? All this so some hick girl can get media attention for "supposedly" being felt up when she was 14? Really America?
The biggest issue with the (as I like to call it) "epidemic" of sexual assault allegations, is that there is hardly any way to prove that the women are telling the truth. For all we know they could be lying to get attention, money, or praise. The odds that they are telling the truth are slim. I mean, why wouldn't they take advantage of these politically correct feminist snowflakes that eat all this up. By coming forward, these women are being showered with support while they are ruining someone else's life. Think thats fair? Think again.
President Trump knew all of this when he released his plan to end all the madness. He proposes that whenever someone else wants to come forward with a sexual assault violation against a man, they needs to go through him first. He wants the women to come to his office and show him hard hitting evidence. Then, the matter will be in his hands. The victim will NOT be allowed to go to the media. (Correction- they will be allowed to contact Fox News, for obvious reasons.) Trump will personally decide if he believes the woman, and if so, he will privately chastise the guilty party. No one should lose their job because of said wrong doing. In no way can our country afford any distraction within our capitalistic system, especially for something as trivial as sexual assault. Next, he will offer the victim a small loan of 1 million dollars to keep their mouths shut. This, he believes, will let them do al he shopping they want, and therefore they will be happy.
Wow. This plan is yet another ingenious solution to our nations issues proposed by President Trump. Dare I say it, with this brilliance we are one step closer to "Making America Great Again."

Assignment 11: Joseph Craven
For a good part of the current semester, I had been seated next to Kayla (AP Lang was one of three classes where I was seated next to her). However, a new seating chart was formed halfway into the semester, so now my seating neighbor is Taetum. For the most part, Taetum and I converse with other people instead of each other. While we don't talk to each other much now, I did sit next to Taetum for all of freshman year in Adv Algebra 2. I'd never met her before Algebra 2, but we became pretty friendly towards each other over the course of the year. On the other hand, most of our conversations never went beyond school topics or playing phone games with Luke de Castro, so I can't say I know too much about specific topics. However, I do know that she is really talented at breaking pencils over her head. I also know that she enjoys playing on the softball team. I wish I had more to write about, but this is about the extent of what I know.

Assignment 10- Kristin
My biggest fear is the unknown. This can be both physical and intangible things.
I am scared of things that I can't see, hiding in the dark or in the grass or under a bush (especially snakes). If I can't see it, I don't know it's there, and if I don't know what's there, anything could be there. Ever since I was a child, I've had an active imagination, so you can see why this would be a problem for me (I was scared of everything).
I am scared of events I'm not prepared for. Anything can happen, so once again, you can imagine all the possibilities I can think up. I always come up with the worst possible scenario, and this often frightens me out of trying things I want to do.
I'm scared of the unknown future. High school is planned, with a clear cut path for me to follow. Everything after that is a mystery, and it terrifies me to know what could come up in my life. This unfortunately forces me to avoid any planning of my future so I can pretend it's not going to happen.
The unknown lurks behind me at every turn, and I need to learn to face it head-on.

Assignment 9- Kristin
War is not something that should be taken lightly. It causes a plethora of deaths and casualties, not to mention the enormous amount of money and resources it costs. However, the time for war should be when a country's citizens have their safety infringed upon. When millions of people are left in fear or terror of an outside threat, it is the government's duty to do what it can to alleviate that threat.
Even so, war should definitely not be the first option. Because of the immense physical, mental, and emotional price a country must pay to go to war, it should be avoided unless totally and 100% necessary. A government's leaders must think of all options and weigh them against each other. Negotiations may be difficult, but they are much less dangerous and costly than fighting.
The line between necessary and avoidable is hard to draw. I am a pacifist at heart, so I don't want to see anyone in pain or battle. However, sometimes a country needs to stand it's ground and protect it's people, especially if a destructive force threatens it. I believe that war is dangerous and risky and should be avoided at all costs, but if it is the only option left, it cannot be avoided.

Assignment 12 - Lauren Chatfield
Something I tell myself very regularly is that I am going to go to college, I am going to get a neat freak roommate, I'm going to be forced to keep things tidy and organized, and my life will be changed.
My room is a mess. Any one of my friends could tell you that. There are clothes everywhere, the bed is only made when I change my bedding, and all the drawers to everything are open. I deeply hope having a roommate, tidy or not, will change this in me. Now, this is not THAT far fetched for me. I am organized in a sense that I have a color coded planner, I keep the pantry and fridge tidy, and I like sorting and color-coding, However, I am awful at keeping my clothes and my bedroom in line.
I also would like a roommate with good eating in work out habits. This is for the same reason as the cleanliness. I'm banking on the fact that my roommate will have good, healthy routines and that they will completely rub off on me and I will graduate college a new person, healthy, zen and tidy.
Assignment 11 - Lauren Chatfield
LIZZY WOLFE!!!!!!!
On Monday, November 20th, 2017, I received a text from Lizzy stating as follows:
"Lauren chatfield i have never been so excited"
including a photo of this very blog post assignment
Since receiving this text, I have been growing more and more excited about writing this. If I were to compose a list of the top 5 best things that happened to me this semester, sitting next to Lizzy Wolfe would most definitely be one of them. Although the assignment says our posts don't "have to be all puppies and ice cream cones," get ready Mr. Logsdon. This will most definitely be ALL puppies and ALL ice cream cones.
I sat next to Lizzy for a while in Mr. Lentz's freshman English class which was where we first met. Although we got along great and one could even say we were destined to be bffs, we grew apart sophomore year. I didn't have any classes with Lizzy and we didn't particularly keep in touch. BUT, this year we sit next to each other AGAIN. When I switched into 3rd hour and was assigned/I chose my seat is was the most perfect timing ever. Although in somewhat different situations with different people, Lizzy and I were going through quite a few of the same things. I won't go into detail because it is not be right to share Lizzy's business but sitting next to her and being able to talk to someone in the same boat as me did tremendous things for my mental health. I am so thankful for the hour I spend next to Lizzy each day and how great of a friend she's been to me.
And my other neighbor, Mr. Logsdon. I've throughly enjoyed learning about his delightful family and the trials and tribulations of their yard. I have learned that he likes Doodles for brunch and we listen to the same spotify playlists and he has a cool phone. I'm sure I've learned plenty of other things but I am blanking right now.
I have two pretty awesome "neighbors"

Assignment 10- Lauren Chatfield
While I am not sure if this is what I am absolutely MOST afraid of, I am extremely scared of artificial intelligence. The geniuses in our nation have cautioned that we are on the verge of creating AI that will out smart us and that is absolutely terrifying to me. We are dumb enough that we don't know when to stop. I can't remember the particular name of the robot but I did see a video of a robot making fun of a person. This was highly disturbing to me -- we created something smart enough to know how dumb we are!!!! Although so many people are saying this could end us, google and those other tech-y companies aren't stopping. They won't be satisfied until it's too late. While these old dudes in lab coats may not live to see the harm of this - it could be in my life time! At the pace we're moving at, this isn't far away at all! We are actually going to die due to a creation by human kind! This is the type of thing that literally keeps me up at night. I am afraid for my family and my friends and my kids that I may never be able to have due to the upcoming revolution (now, that my be an exaggeration) but I do plead the future of our species to PLEASE STOP!
Thanks,
Lauren
Assignment 9- Lauren Chatfield
Since the beginning of time, conflict has been seen as inevitable. And, while I do believe this is true, I am most definitely not the first to say our species is absolutely awful at handling conflict. My opinion as to whether or not war is justified is a little hazy as a war involves so many people and my small opinion could never end that. However, to dumb this down for myself I think of fighting.
At Henry Clay, fights seem to be all too common. While our hallways aren't as violent as I assume other high schools are, they are still not free of fighting. Whenever I hear of a fight I can't help but think "Why are they so dumb???!??!???" It baffles me how these ridiculous it is that boys and girls will actually hit each other over things that a calm conversation could fix.
Now, I am not saying that a fight in the halls of Henry Clay is equal in scale to a war between nations. I am saying, though, that a fight in the halls of Henry Clay is the closest I have personally been to seeing opposing sides inflict physical harm on one another to prove a point. When fights do occur though, the people involved tend to say it was worth it and now there is "no beef." While in war, the physical harm is far greater than a black eye, if fighting a war is what it takes to heal relations between nations, I'm not sure how opposed to it I am. I am not oblivious to the fact that wars typically do not do this. I wish I could propose an alternative that would satisfy the fight angry countries are looking for a when a conversation just isn't enough.
When I started writing this, I didn't know my opinion. I was hoping by the end I would but I am still quite unsure. I don't agree with war and obviously I wish it didn't happen but I am afraid fighting and aggression are so ingrained in the human mind that we are unable to avoid it.

Assignment 10: Joseph Craven
Imagine waking up only to hear something along the lines "Attention: This is a national emergency alert siren; the dead are rising and are attacking the living. Everyone is advised to seek shelter immediately." At first, I would believe that this is some big joke. Then, looking out the window,my fears would be confirmed. Panic would immediately set in, but I would soon realize that I need to create a survival plan. Staying at my house would be a short-term plan because my house only has so much food and the best weapon we own is a kitchen knife. Soon, I would have to leave the house. If I was able to access a car in this case, I would immediately head to a large retail store; these stores would certainly have a surplus of supplies and a group of talented survivors. Some good examples of stores would be Costco, which would have more than enough food, or Sportsman's Warehouse, which would have more than enough survival supplies. If I managed to make it to a major store and it wasn't completely overrun by zombies, I would settle there for as long as I can.
However, if a white walker invasion suddenly occurred, the best I could do would be to huddle in a corner until one of the walkers found me.

Assignment 12: Anne Douglas Chambers
Before we start living together, I should tell you a little about me and my preferred roommate situation:
1. I am not necessary the most orderly person, but I am clean. More often than not, random articles of clothing are displaced around my room and my bed is un-made. However, I do keep surfaces clean and maintain relative order. Essentially, I'll be fine If our room isn't perfectly orgnaized, but i'd like to avoid any possible vermin infestations and unidentifiable messes.
2. I am an introvert. Though I am outgoing and love to hang out with my friends, I thrive when given proper alone time and space to think.
3. Sleep is veryyyyyy important to me. Without adequate sleep, I transform into a cranky, unproductive zombie. Don't get me wrong, I'm aware that the college lifestyle might not be the most conducive to a solid 9 hours a night,. However, I would appreciate a roommate who also goes to be relatively early (at least on week nights) and who won't wake me up with loud alarms when I am trying to squeeze in a few more minutes.
Other than that, I'm pretty easy-going. As long as you're respectful, we should have no issues. Although I have no expectations, I think we're gonna get along well. I can't wait to meet you!
Assignment 11- Anne Douglas
Although I have known Nathan since freshman year, are relationship mostly encompasses polite small-talk and the occasional laugh over Stone and Mathew's debauchery. Nathan and I have had classes together in the past as well. Freshman year we both had Mr. Lentz for 6th hour English, and due to the alphabetical proximity of our last names, we sat next to each other in that class as well. That year we got to know each other well, and I eventually became a confidant for one of Nathan's biggest secrets at the time (no I won't tell you what it was). Over the years, Nathan hasn't really changed that much. Though he has grown in height, he has maintained he same idiosyncrasies that define who he is; his deep voice, florid vocabulary, and extensive knowledge of memes. Nathan and I don't have that much in common, but we always find something to talk about. Whether it be our weekend plans, cool new music we have found, or something funny Joseph did last period, I get to know Nathan a little bit better everyday.

Assignment 14- Caili Harris
Thanksgiving has become a three-day holiday for my family. This year, my cousins from western Kentucky came from out of town so we decided to make a last minute plan to eat out at Mi Casita Wednesday night. We dined on tacos, enchiladas, and queso galore. The next two days were pretty standard. We spent all of Thursday morning and part of the afternoon straightening the house and doing some intense speed cleaning. After, my family set the table with two turkey candles as our center piece. My dad's parents and my mom's mom comes to this meal. Saturday we met my mom's side of the family at my Nanny and Pepe's house. Lots of food, lots of love. After all of this we went out to get a tree and decorated the house with all the Christmas decorations we've culminated over the years.

My ideal college is either the University of Alabama or the University of Auburn. The entire vibe at these schools for me seems very alive as student life seems to be very important. As where i want to go major in business and marketing both of these schools look like good options for me. Another big part of college in my eyes is athletics. I have already received interest from both of these coaches for swimming at their programs and in my eyes, these are very elite programs in the SEC. Because i want to swim in college as well as have a balance with education i believe that these schools provide me with the best opportunities. I also like the essence of SEC football which is very present in both of these programs and for lack of a better word, gamedays there would be....LIT.

Assignment 10 - Anna Baskin
My zombie survival plan: go to Costco. With fortress-like
walls and a lifetime’s supply of food and toilet paper, Costco can sustain me
for the rest of my days. I’ll barricade the door and happily live on a diet of
free rotisserie chicken samples and food court churros.
For moral support, my
dog is a definite requirement. Friends and family are more debatable. On one
hand, traveling in groups could save my life in an emergency; on the other, I
would be bummed if I had to shoot their zombified corpses. It’s probably not
worth the headache. They can find another lifesaving facility, far away from my
Costco. I’ll just have to remember to call on Christmas and Thanksgiving.
Only those with practical trades – like doctors, engineers,
plumbers, etc. – will be allowed to enter my domain. Artists and philosophers will be left for the zombies, the way Darwin intended. Together, my small band
of survivors will wait for the zombies to be wiped out, presumably by the cast
of The Walking Dead, until we can
once more emerge from Costco into the brilliant light of day.
Assignment 9 - Anna Baskin
“Is there a time for
war?”
That’s a loaded
question, and one I doubt I’m qualified to answer. Greater minds than mine have
grappled with the meaning and necessity of war, and found few consistent,
applicable answers. Some will tell you war is never the solution, and that all
world leaders should favor diplomacy as the only option, but this seems
remarkably one-sided. Mankind has a sad history of abusing and enslaving fellow
our fellow men – often ended only through war. Benjamin Franklin said, “There
was never a good war or a bad peace.” I’m not sure the Jews in Nazi Germany
would agree.
However, that is not
to say that war is always the solution to injustice. Without proper planning
war can go disastrously wrong, bringing about the same injustices the war
strove to end. In addition, a group’s sense of cultural, moral, or military
superiority – always a significant cause of war – can have adverse effects.
During the Era of Colonization, Britain fought to secure territory in Africa,
India, and America. They believed it was their right, as those with the
“superior” culture and military, to claim the land and educate the uncivilized
natives. They called it just; in modern days, we call it reprehensible.
In the end, my
thinking most coincides with Ernest Hemingway: “Never think that war, no matter
how necessary, nor how justified, is not a crime.” Despite a just cause, war is
appalling and horrific. Even soldiers fighting the condemnable Nazis struggled
seeing the faces of the fallen young German boys, so similar to themselves.
War, while sometimes necessary, should always be a last resort to diplomacy.

Assignment 14- Stone Poole
This is my favorite time of year, football is at its peak, my birthday is in October then there is Halloween, Thanksgiving and Christmas all within 90 days. I love spending time with my family arguing over sports, which food is the best and fun pointless stuff. I usually have 3 Thanksgivings each year, one with my dad's side, one with my mom's side and one with my immediate family. The food is always great and the time and memories are even better. My dad's side is huge, there are 20 of us and after we eat we watch football or go out in the back and play some ourselves. My mom's side is a bit smaller but my Grandma's cooking is sooooooo good. We go to each gathering before Thanksgiving so on Thanksgiving we usually go to my Uncle's church and help pack and deliver meals to those who can't make their own this Thanksgiving, it is a fun and humbling experience and I always leave with a smile. Usually my immediate family is tired from all the stuff we have done and full of food so we have leftover Thanksgiving from the night before and only have small plates because we have eaten so much at the other events. I love Thanksgiving and I have so much to be thankful for this year.
Assignment 9- Stone Poole
The only good things to come out of war are this country and a few video games. The United states has been in plenty of countless wars that have resulted in little more than unneeded deaths of American Soldiers. The right time for war is to protect your country and citizens. It isn't to invade, destroy, aid or protect another place. The U.S is notorious for joining the wrong wars and not gaining anything from the result of them. The U.S involvement in the middle east should have ended right after Ben Ladin was killed. Then thousands of U.S soldiers would still be alive, The Vietnam war shouldn't have even involved the United States but we tried fight communism. The War of 1812 was pointless as well, we didn't gain much at all but lost plenty of ships and men. Looking to the future I don't believe that the U.S soldiers should have to go to war against North Korea. If anything I think it should be a small fight not a full war between soldiers who had nothing to do with the conflict. There are certainly right times to fight. The World Wars were necessary to end years of fighting and to not allow Germany to take over, which they most likely would have if the U.S had not intervened.
There is a right time for everything, with war the right time is very rare and countries go to war way too often. It is so sad to see that peace and negotiations can rarely be mad so soldiers have to risk their lives.

Assignment 12-Stone Poole
For my entire life, I've always loved to horse play and mess around. I love to have fun and goof off but I still get stuff done. I procrastinate and slack off but will not allow things to not be done even if it means doing a lot of work in the last period of time before the deadline. I'm a night owl but I can get up whenever, I don't have to sleep in until 2 pm after staying up until 3. I really enjoy watching sports and playing xbox. I could talk all day about sports or video games and give hot takes on any topic on them. I'm also fairly organized, just in my own way. I have my own system for clothes and were I set things. As long as my roommate isn't a slob and will talk and isn't a silent bump on a log we will be able to have a good time. I can't really cook and don't like to spend a lot of money on food so if my roommate can cook they would be the best ever and I know we could easily be great friends. I also would struggle to do my own laundry but I know that the perfect roommate doesn't exist so if they can just give me tips on how to do the laundry I'll be able to do it.

Assignment 6- Stone Poole
A lot of things go in and out of my head. Some good some bad, some fact, some opinion based. Right now I'm really pondering why schools pound students with work. Even early into the dreaded Junior year, I already feel like I'm drowned with homework. Blog plots, unit assignments, AP calculus homework, vocabulary quizzes, AP physics labs, producing the news, figuring out an entire new language, but all-round students are still expected to have extracurricular activities, get plenty of sleep and have great grades.
I can attest to this dilemma. Swimming 2 hours a day 5 days a week on top of all the school work I am assigned and I also like to relax and have time to play xbox, watch football and spend time with friends. School puts too much pressure on to teenage kids, and expect so much out of them.
I know most kids will agree especially those who participate in many outside of school activities.
Sorry Mr. Logsdon, This was a draft that didn't upload before.

Assignment 13- Stone Poole
The world is running out of oil for fuel. Oil is becoming a rare commodity than is getting more and more expensive and will eventually not be around because our cars are consuming so much gas that we will run out soon and we need to find an alternate source. Well, people make gas all the time when they fart. We should develop a way to change people's gas into gas for cars. We already fart all the time and we will never stop farting so it would be a resource that we would never run out of. We could capture and sell our farts to gas companies, who would convert it into gas that could run our cars. We could easily create a machine to change our own farts and fuel our own cars and eliminate gas stations from the equation. Then everyone could just fill their own cars with the gas their family makes.
Assignment 14 - Erin
I am a lover of food. That being said, Thanksgiving isn't one of my favorite holidays.
Partially because I don't particularly love the traditional Thanksgiving meal. At the dinner table you're most likely to find me with a plate of mashed potatoes, mac-n-cheese, and dumplings. I'm just not partial to turkey.
I do, however, enjoy getting three days off from the madness that is school in November. One day to myself to relax and maybe be productive. One day of chaos and drama and food with the family. And then one day to recover from all of that. The much needed break is much appreciated.
To me, Thanksgiving signals the start of the Christmas season. My family tends to put up and decorate our Christmas tree the day after Thanksgiving, and that's when the festive season really begins. Decorations, gift wrapping, baking, Christmas music. I love it all.
Thanksgiving is alright for being in a lazy carb coma, but to me it's just a beginning to my favorite time of year.

Assignment 10 – Dilni Abeyrathne
Twigs snap loudly, ominous moans are heard in the night. A
slight shuffle, here, there, everywhere.
Fearful, I glance out my window onto the lamp-lit street, confirming the dark
thought that had wormed into my head: zombies,
and not merely a handful.
How could this have
happened? I thought, quickly ducking out from behind the cold glass,
lest the zombies saw me. Well, no matter. What does matter is that the Zombie
Apocalypse has somehow begun and I have no plan. Regrettable, to say in the
least.
So, it’s a perfect time to come up with one!
Unless I fancy dying a horribly excruciating death, I’d
better form a plan of action, and quickly. Currently, I seem to be stuck inside
my house, in the middle of a sea of zombies hungry for human flesh. How
wonderful. If I am to survive this strange catastrophe, I must escape my house.
Although all the doors are locked and the windows shuttered tightly, which is
seemingly safe, there are two dangers to my staying: one, the zombies might
find a way in and I’d be trapped, and two, I would run out of food and starve.
Neither of those options seems inviting, at all. So, escape it is.
Once I manage to exit my house without the zombies noticing,
after taking some food and other necessities of course, I shall discreetly run
to an open area, preferably one with potential for agriculture and near a source
of freshwater. That way, my needs of food and water would be covered. In
addition, an open area would be less susceptible to a zombie swarm, as their
primary goal seems to be devouring human flesh, unless I have got my research
wrong-now that would be a dilemma.
Once there, I would scout around the area for zombies-it
would do no good if one had managed to follow me while I was stealthily
escaping. Once my scouting is done, I would do well to set up a temporary base,
as out of sight as possible, to avoid possible detection. Once that is accomplished,
I would then start pondering the current issue. Zombies are not normal; people
simply do not crawl out of their graves and start hunting people animatedly.
So, how in the world
did this happen?
Unsurprisingly, the answer would narrow down into this:
something must have gone wrong somewhere. Zombies cannot naturally exist unless
something, or someone, had brought them to existence. With this thought in
mind, the most logical course of action seems to be finding the source of the Apocalypse
and putting an end to it. However, I would not be able to accomplish this
alone.
Therefore, I would then strive to find some survivors to
help me remedy the supernatural dilemma. How would I do this without detection?
Simple: avoid detection. Last I
checked, zombies do not seem to have much power behind their brains, if they
even have brains. That would make things much
easier.
Once I have gathered some survivors, if I managed to find
any, we would attempt to come up with a plan to find the cause of the
Apocalypse and hopefully cease its existence. If it turns out there is no
probable cause and no viable way to stop it, well…
Assignment 13-Caili Harris
My brother suffered with obesity two years ago. We couldn’t explain it. No matter how much
he exercised he couldn’t lose weight.
Then, we discovered the horrendous,
troubling, scandalous lies told by sugar manufacturers. They betrayed us,
paying off researchers to create a false study that blamed fat for obesity.
Kids and Adults have suffered from obesity in recent years, and the fact that
this information was hidden from us leads us to take action. Therefore, we
should get rid of the sugar in all food and replace it with salt. Sugar has been
shown to be addictive, due to the high levels of dopamine released when we eat
a sugary food. This kind of addiction is unnecessary and even
dangerous. Salt will not only replace the sugary taste with another strong
tasting product, but also allow for the preservation of sugar.
With the
decrease in sugar consumption we decrease the overly large obesity rate in
America, while sticking it to the people that lied to us about nutrition and
kept us from providing the best care for our kids.

Assignment 12- Caili Harris
Hi, I’m Caili
Harris. If you’re going to be my roommate, there is one thing we must get
straight first: a tidy dorm is a happy dorm. I’ve grown up with a very messy
set of siblings, and constantly clean up after them. I’d love to be able to
work together to create an organization system so that our living space remains
manageable.
An artistic
atmosphere is very important to me and I’d like to take the time and work
together to decorate our new living space in a way that represents both of our
personalities.
Overall, I am
pretty flexible with whom I room with. As long as we bring respect into our new
environment, I believe that both of us will be happy. If at some point in the
beginning of the school year we could sit down and discuss guidelines or any
concerns we have with our living arrangements, that would be great.
Assignment 11-Caili Harris
To my left sits
Ben Hayden. Ben competes in debate for Henry Clay. This week in debate class
he won his Lincoln Douglass (LD) debate round and is advancing in the LD
finals. However, his speaking talents go beyond debate. In the beginning of the
semester, Ben rocked the house in impromptu speaking.
To continue, I
would just like to say how great Ben Hayden’s music taste is. Whether listening
to “White Boy Christmas” or the new Taylor Swift album, Ben is always listening to
something great. If I could compare Ben to one color, it would be royal blue,
because of his king status music taste. Who knows? In later years, he could be
a DJ travelling the world.
To end this blog
post I’d like to thank Ben for a few things. First I would like to thank Ben
for never complaining when I have a large amount of stuff under the table. (I
know I bring a lot to school and I’d like to thank you for your patience).
Second, I want thank him for his kindness when grading essays, and third, I
want to thank him for being an all around good classmate.
Assignment 10- Caili Harris
To survive the
zombie apocalypse you must give the zombies what they want: brain power.
Therefore the best way to survive the zombie apocalypse would be dressing up as
a zombie and disguising your scent. Travelling to a remote area with a
miniscule population reduces the probability of infected humans. With a lesser
chance of zombies searching to eat you, the chances of your
survival increase. In addition, finding a town with a fairly sustainable food
source and room for farm land is highly important. The longer your food
supply lasts the longer you last. I would travel to a town such as midway,
where there is an abundance of food and good farming land to tend. There I
could hide in a boutique and grab weapons from the local homes, already evacuated. With
plenty of food, an isolated, quiet, and smaller location, and my convincing zombie costume and cologne, I would most definitely survive the zombie apocalypse.
