Assignment 26: Nathan Boshard
The activity i found least effective was the grading of the essays in class. Although it was nice to receive peer feedback, I think that you would have more insightful things to say than my peers. It's also worth noting that you can point to a specific problem and outline the solution; students are often great at recognizing a problem in an essay, but not presenting a solution. It seemed that the as the year progressed, grading essays consumed the majority of class time. This led to a predictable, monotonous pattern that wore me out and left me wanting variation. This weariness led me to zone out and lose motivation in the class. Variation in the class would work wonders for both the motivation and learning potential of the students. I mean no offense by my comments, and I hope that none was taken. Thank you for your time.
