Assignment 3: Max Young
I got excited when I pulled up this prompt. Probably a little too excited. Israel. Living in this magnificent country is far and away the most incredible, life-changing, eye-opening experience I have ever had. This past summer around 40 of my friends and I spent a month living in different youth hostels all across Israel, every day was packed with activities that included aspects of learning our history and having fun in a new country. I fell in love with just about everything there, the people, the history, and especially the food. The hardest thing to adapt to at first was definitely the general attitude of the people. It's immensely different than here; in Israel every time you talk to someone it's a conversation. Even when buying something from a store, it's never just buying something. You're always talking, and usually within each others personal space. I have the opportunity to go back and study there for this spring semester, and I'm beyond excited to do so.
